What Is Reiki? Just in case you were wondering!

What is Reiki?
Just in case you were wondering!
Reiki (ray-key) is a technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. The principle of Reiki is based on the idea that an unseen ‘life force energy’ flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. This unseen life force is similar to the energetic pathways that send signals for your television, radio or cell phone. If one’s ‘life force energy’ is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

A Reiki treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit and creates many beneficial effects including relaxation and feelings of peace, security and well-being. The Reiki practitioner gently touches your body allowing the life force energy to be directed and focused toward you to balance your energy pathways.

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words, their meaning from the Japanese dictionary are; Rei – “God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power” and Ki is “life force energy.” So Reiki is actually ‘spiritually guided life force energy.’ There are traditions in every culture for working with the energy pathways in the body; Reiki is passed down in the Japanese tradition of ReiKi Healing.

Reiki Sessions offered almost anytime and classes monthly!

I have added a little humor in the cartoon that will help you remember how to pronounce Reiki as well as have a chuckle!
